Got a few Sharks last week, a good Blue, a nice little Mako, plus a 60kg Mako and also a good Gummy. Still plenty of Snapper around too, and some HUGE whiting, 50cm plus.

KINGFISH

Have been getting some good kings on the boats during the last few weeks.  Not in huge numbers as yet, but when Baz has targeted them in good conditions, they are fishing well.

 

SNAPPER

Good spread of Pinkies around still. Perfect eating size, and enough of a fight to make in interesting!

 

SALMON

Havent been getting many the past week.  Dredging seems to have put them off with the silt in the water.

 

SQUID

Squid boats reporting good hauls already, have been getting the odd one on the boats when chasing snapper, probably not enough numbers to be chasing them just yet...

ABOVE - A couple of the 2008 Makos...1 x 30kg, and a big boy at 120kg!

WHITING

Reelthing scored some MASSIVE KGW's last week, a couple getting over the 50cm mark.  Still fishing very well in the bay too on Kyena.

 

SHARK

Things picking up with the warmer weather. 2 Mako's last week, one around 60kg and a smaller one early on in the week.  Also a couple of Gummies, and a nice Bluey...
