Reelthing, Bass Strait Charters & Shark Fishing

Reelthing is powered by brand new Twin 2006 Honda 135hp 4 stroke engines. Whilst she is surveyed for 12 passengers, we only take 8 anglers to give you plenty of room to move, and hook that big one!

Fully fitted with all safety devices along with a Split screen Sounder and GPS, VHF and 27MHZ radios, CD player and AM/FM Radio.

Reelthing is ideally set up for fishing Port Phillip Heads and Bass Strait. Able to reach the fishing grounds quickly, meaning you get the maximum time out on the plentiful waters of Bass Strait.

Reelthing is used for our exciting shark fishing tours, which should not be missed by any serious angler.  The northern waters of Bass Strait are home to a variety of Sharks, and we target the exciting Mako and Thresher over the summer months.

Kyena is the perfect boat to fish Port Phillip Bay, built in 1972 she is 9.9 metres and is a Gilcraft Design hull (Pressure treated Ply). Very popular with groups and families.

Kyena is powered by a 6clynder Perkins Diesel Turbo engine HP 120

Kyena has been fully refurbished and is used for our family fishing trips fishing Port Phillip Heads and the sheltered bays of Queenscliff, Point Lonsdale, Portsea and Quarantine Bay. We target Snapper, Salmon, Blue Devil Fish, Leather jackets, Squid, plus assorted reef fish.

Kyena is also used for our very popular Sunset Cruises.  Run over the summer months, this is a fantastic way to spend an evening on the bay, and see a spectacular sunset over Bass Strait and Point Lonsdale.

Kyena also caters for over 8000 school children in conjunction with the Marine Discovery Centre, who run Marine Biology tours. These tours are unique in that they are licensed to take dredging samples exploring the life that Port Phillip Bay has to offer.

Also included in the Cruise is visit to Chinamans Hat, which is home to dozens of Australian Fur Seals and then on to Popes Eye to view the Gannets.
